What is MGU Russian language centre
Russian language Centre has the state educational license. We accept students with any level of knowledge from 17 years old.

About me: I’m Sasha, I’m 35 years old, I’m a teacher of Russian and English by profession. I am fluent in English, I learn French, do a little ballet and try to play piano.

Over the past sixteen years (nine of which I have been teaching online) I have enjoyed working with a wide range of students of different abilities, backgrounds and languages. I am working with students from A1-C1 level (Russian for conversation, tourism, business, university course, etc). Also I am preparing for TORFL and GCSE exams in Russian.
My strength in teaching languages is being good at encouraging students and keeping them motivated by providing them with various activities and ways of learning. I always try to find an individual approach for every student to make learning easy, fun and interesting!

How did I end up learning Russian at MGU? Well, I wanted to build upon my basic knowledge of Russian and MGU Russian has a wide variety of options to study the language at one's own pace. The website is professionally built, offers a lot of information and Julia is always available for additional details and well-thought-out advice.
As for the actual course, I ended up taking the Intensive Group course of 20 academic hours per week with Professor Vyacheslav. The teaching style is very intense and Professor V. is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to explaining the intricacies of the Russian language and grammar. So now, not only am I able to better understand Russian, but am also able to express my thoughts and ideas in Russian, which was my goal all along.
Whoever is serious about learning such a beautiful, melodious and rich language should definitely consider taking MGU's courses.

The course is very well-structured and organised. It provides a thorough and substantial introduction to the practical aspects of teaching Russian as Foreign Language. Both novice and experienced teachers will find it useful for themselves. I would in particular commend teachers' invaluable contribution to delivery of webinars(I personally fell in love with those devoted to the phonetics of the Russian language). Since the course is very practical it requires students to complete tasks for which they receive constructive feedback with further recommendations from highly experienced tutors. The classes here are very intensive and really make you use all your knowledge to the best of your ability. In the A2 class with Natalya, I always feel challenged to improve my Russian. Staff is easy-going and students are very diverse. There are people from all over the world and of all ages. Professors are Russian and there are around 10 people in class (lots of space for progress). You don't need to do long placement tests, but rather you can do it online (on their website) and sit in class to see whether you like it and estimate if it's your level. Great deal!
